WHEREAS Zambia faces enormous challenges in terms of economic development and democracy;
REALIZING that such challenges require the concerted efforts and resolve by Zambians and friends of Zambia to be overcome;
BELIEVING that liberal democratic ideals and fundamentals of sustainable development are necessary for Zambia in the twenty-first century and beyond to survive and thrive;
RECOGNIZING that posterity depends on the rising Zambian leaders who will review and evaluate current Zambian developmental and democratic models so as to ensure maximum return and benefit for all Zambians;
WE, concerned and serious Zambians and friends of Zambia at home and abroad, do take it upon ourselves in a non-partisan spirit, to debate, lobby, advocate and suggest alternative developmental models;
AND do hereby give to ourselves this constitution.
